About the Company
An innovative, international consultancy located in Manchester are seeking an Assistant Building Surveyor to join their growing and expanding building consultancy.
The successful Assistant Building Surveyor will be from a commercial building surveying background and be looking to sit their APC soon.
As the successful Assistant Building Surveyor, you will be undertaking a wide variety of work with a mix of both professional and project work.
About the Role
Within the role you will use your experience with
- Contract administration
- Advising key clients on their expansion and portfolio
- JCT Building Contracts
- Assessing, specifying and implementing packages of works to existing buildings
- Diagnosing building defects and providing viable solutions
- Acting as Party Wall Surveyor
- Negotiating lease agreements and specifications on behalf of landlords and tenants
You will have a year to 18 months of your APC diary completed, have a degree or masters in Building Surveying and ideally have some bias toward commercial building surveying. You will need excellent time management skills, attention to detail and be an adept report writer.
As you’d imagine this role suits highly technical, logical and practical people and if you’re also good with people, a relationship builder and good with negotiations, you’ll fit right in.
