About the Company?

A leading property maintenance organisation, servicing housing co-operatives, small housing associates & leaseholders across the Merseyside region have a requirement for a Building Surveyor to join their team. They manage the planned & reactive maintenance, along with on-going stock-condition and other surveys to ensure their clients remain compliant, and that resident’s homes are kept-up to a good standard. They roughly spend circa £4M - £5M per annum. The position has come about due to a new strategic vision of the company, to be responsive to their members demands as opposed to reactive.

About the Role?

You will be a customer-focused person to become an integral part of the business. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of maintenance and investment services to their members, including reactive repairs, void management, stock condition surveys, contract administration and reporting. You will need to have comprehensive knowledge of construction-related health & safety legislation and be able to communicate construction terminology in an easy to understand manner to your clients.

The organisation has recently upgraded their IT systems so you will need to have good IT skills & reporting skills, as you’ll be working in a team of 3 whose responsibility for dealing with individual projects can be split amongst the team.
