Our client is looking is for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team, based in Liverpool.

With one of the largest teams of chartered surveyors in the property sector, located in regional offices across the UK, they have a depth and breadth of experience, expertise and local knowledge to support their clients at every stage of property investment, ownership and occupation from acquisition to disposal.
You will be responsible for providing advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair and refurbishment of all types of residential and commercial property.
About the Role
To undertake a variety of building surveys, inspections and audits to the Group’s stock and assets, including new build projects. Responsible for the effective diagnosis, recording and monitoring of works in relation to structural movement/failure including liaison with consultants when necessary.
- Project management and monitoring;
- Property Legislation advice;
- Insurance assessment and claims assistance;
- Defect investigation and maintenance advice;
- Building surveys and measured surveys;
- Handling planning applications;
- Building inspection to ensure compliance with building regulations;
- Pre-acquisition surveys; and
- Negotiating dilapidations claims.
You will have several years’ experience as a Building Surveyor and ideally have some bias toward home buyer reports, defect analysis and building pathology.
This particular role requires chartered status but if you’re not quite at that level yet, get in touch anyway as we have a lot of Building Surveyor roles at this time.
As you’d imagine this role suits highly technical, logical and practical people and if you’re also good with people, a relationship builder and good with negotiations, you’ll fit right in.
