Are you a Building Surveyor looking for an opportunity that offers flexible and/or part-time working hours, and the opportunity to work from home?
I have a unique position for a Chartered Building Surveyor in the Midlands work in-house for a leading law firm.
You will be responsible for assessing defects in accordance with Section 11 of The Landlord and Tenant Act, while you will also liaise with solicitors, expert witnesses, and surveyors.
Along with utilising your surveying skills, you will work closely with a team of legal professionals and will adopt a similar, methodical approach. However, a sense of humour is also important. Within this Midlands-based Building Surveying role, you should also be able to work on your own initiative and be a highly effective communicator, both verbally and in your written work.
My client has been extremely successful in representing tenants and bringing claims against landlords that have failed to maintain residential properties, as required by law. As such, experience of working for a local authority or housing association would be advantageous.
- Minimum of five years’ experience
- A background within the social-housing arena
- Experience of preparing witness statements
- Highly proficient in housing disrepair
- Expert in defect analysis
