A developer who specialises in completing refurbishments in the Industrial & Commercial sector is seeking a commercially-minded Contracts Manager to help assist with challenging schemes throughout the Northwest. The business has gone from strength to strength in recent times and they are on-target to reach their ambition, for developing 2M sq ft. of industrial / office space within the next 3 years. This role would be suitable for a Contracts Manager who enjoys having autonomy & flexibility in their position, as well as working for a fast-growing developer with opportunities to develop your career over time. The developer brings previously unloved buildings back to the market, creating value & jobs throughout the North-West Region, and you’ll be at the forefront in making it happen!
Your role within the business would be putting together sub-contractor packages, putting together contract documents, reviewing tenders & negotiating with contractors to ensure optimal value. These packages range in value up to £4m you will be working across multiple packages & projects at any one time. Working closely with internal colleagues, such as Project Managers, to ensure projects are delivered on-budget and that the sub-contractors work is inline for what has been agreed within the contractual documents. Good working knowledge of JCT & strong communication skills will ensure you will flourish in the position.
