Job Title: Economist (Town Planning)  

Location: Manchester

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to blend their passion for planning and economics by advising a range of clientele including leading housebuilders, retailers, developers and landowners as well as local planning authorities. Across the Economics team they service an impressive range of blue-chip clients across a variation of sectors including:

  • Culture and Media

  • Housing
  • Offices, Industry and Logistics
  • Mixed use and Regeneration
  • Sports and Stadia
  • Tourism and Leisure
  • Town centre and retail  

Working out of their busy Manchester office you will be involved in a wide variety of projects supporting the planning and development team to advise on the promotion of development schemes through Local Plans and planning applications. For the right Town Planning Economist this is a unique opportunity to join a planning consultancy that values the importance of socio-economic footprints in their activities as a business. You will be tasked with carrying out site appraisals, benefits assessments and advising on planning policy issues- you must be comfortable in working with statistics to support cases for development.
