Are you an experienced Environmental Planner (EIA Specialist) who enjoys working on varied and complex projects? I am looking for an experienced Environmental Planner (EIA Specialist) to join an award-winner for design & innovation – a UK consultancy that combines local knowledge with nationwide presence. Due to their continuous growth & expansion across disciplines in the property field my client are looking for an Environmental Planner (EIA Specialist) to join their talented West Midlands to lead on environmental schemes.

From major supermarket developments through to world heritage sites this is an exciting opportunity for a Environmental Planner (EIA Specialist) to be exposed to a variety of challenging & complex projects. Some of the recent environmental projects include:

  • A windfarm comprising of 13 turbines up to 149.9m to tip blade. Located in a special landscape area improvements to the local environment were proposed resulting in habitat creation.
  • Solar Extension of an existing scheme including a detailed landscape & ecological masterplan taking into account ground nesting birds in the area.
  • Working in conjunction with their in-house design team securing several applications for major leisure and tourism developments for a prominent site within a well-known beach town. The project included the development of holiday loges, apartments, leisure facilities, a multiplex cinema & various other large scale tourist attractions.
  • A missed use high rise city centre development comprising of residential units, commercial office space, hotel facilities & various retail sites. The site included large tree planting scheme, realm improvements & roofscape greenspaces which encourage ecological diversity.

The Role 

The ideal Environmental Planner (EIA Specialist)  will have the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of project types alongside the planning team, including strategic residential and employment developments, major infrastructure schemes, & renewable energy projects, previous environmental planning experience is required, knowledge in the development sector & planning process would also be highly desirable.

You should be able to demonstrate excellent project management, verbal &  written communication skills, & an ability to build effective client & team relationships. As a core member of the team you will be expected to work independently & as part of a team, in return for your efforts they offer a commitment to “train, guide and lead” in order to meet your career goals.
