If you have Fee-earning experience in Motor Claims – we have a fantastic new opportunity in Liverpool city centre with a well-known Defendant Law Firm.

They currently have multiple requirements across their Liverpool and Manchester city centre office locations, including 6 x  Fee Earner positions for their Liverpool Credit Hire team, dealing with litigated matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pursue settlement of files in line with client instruction / client guidelines
  • Negotiations with Insured, Insurer + third Parties to pursue the settlement of cases/costs
  • Court Telephone Hearings to ensure progress and all actions to bring the case to settlement
  • Timely and accurate management of billing and management information systems
  • Allocate funds to the appropriate client accounts as per agreed procedures
  • Dealing with correspondence and telephone calls
  • Reviews of files in line with Client requirements
  • Updating reports
  • Meeting agreed performance targets
  • Ensuring files are kept within ISO 9001 guidelines
  • Provide written updates by email or letter to clients detailing case activity
  • To ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct 2011


  • Previous experience in credit hire a minimum either defendant (preferable) or claimant
  • Experience of small claims and fast track matters
  • Previous experience of handling own caseload
  • Good telephone negotiation skills
  • An understanding of case law and litigation practice & process and CPO
  • Ability to make decisions
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Proficient IT skills


  • Knowledge / experience of the litigation process and RTA (Road Traffic Accident Claims)
  • Experience of Indemnity Principles and CCFAs
