My client, an outstanding Top 40 law practice, are looking for a Solicitor to join their Healthcare department at their offices in Leeds.

The role

My client is an outstanding practice, who attract top calibre employees and clients alike. This opportunity will be working within its Healthcare department in Leeds. In this position, you will be exposed to a variety of exceptional quality work.  This team is highly regarded, undertaking a wide range of general healthcare and governance matters for public and private organisations operating in the health and social care sector.

As a Healthcare Solicitor, you will manage a mixed caseload of Healthcare matters to include powers and duties of public bodies, governance and constitutional issues including conflicts of interest, compliance with Equality Act 2010 and Human Rights Act 1998 obligations, application of general public law principles, in particular involvement duties, judicial review, freedom of Information Act 2000 and data protection laws and patient confidentiality and data sharing.

Duties in this position will include: 

  • Advising clients on how to make robust decisions
  • Reviewing policies and guidance
  • Advising on internal appeals and complaints
  • Handling judicial review, county court and Information Rights Tribunal claims
  • Assisting colleagues in the wider health team, for example on employment and commercial issues

The candidate

You will be a Solicitor qualified to practice in England and Wales with up to around five years PQE. You will be a highly motivated Solicitor who is keen to become part of the team that is developing healthcare work and contribute to this exciting stage in the development and growth of the firm.
