This is a fantastic opportunity for a Regulatory Solicitor to join a well-established and reputable firm at their offices based in Liverpool. They have several offices spread across the UK and are highly regarded nationally.

The Regulatory Department offers a broad range of expert advice to healthcare professionals facing possible criminal and professional regulatory sanctions, Trusts and organisations on issues such as best interest decisions to DPA requests and inquests, as well as organisations and individuals facing Health & Safety, criminal and other regulatory prosecutions.

They are paying a competitive package of c.£35,000+ dependent on PQE level experience. In addition, a fantastic benefits package is also on offer which includes 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays, health insurance, critical-illness cover, death-in-service and childcare vouchers.

The role

You will ideally have 0 – 4 years PQE, with newly qualified solicitors also being invited to apply. This role has a primary focus on local government work where you will be advising local governments on matters of child social care issues. Therefore, you must have previous child social care experience to be considered for this role.

You will specialise in acting on behalf of various local authorities, protecting their interests in matters of child social care issues. You will manage a caseload of files, primarily child protection cases for local authorities, but also including adult social services, education and local government law cases. You will also attend applications and hearings at court, including travel, and accompany counsel where necessary.
