It has been a busy start to 2018 and an excellent opportunity has already arisen here in Liverpool for a Planner to join an established planning team.
The Town Planner will become an integral member of a growing team situated in Liverpool city centre. The workload has continued to grow for our client who have a great reputation across the UK for delivering high-quality projects on behalf of an impressive client base; the Town Planner will gain experience of residential, commercial, retail and energy projects across Merseyside and the wider North West. The team has grown steadily since our client moved into their city centre location meaning you will receive ample support from Senior Planners and Directors as you assist with the workload.
The ideal Planner will have gained either public or private sector experience and will be working towards their APC submission. Sector experience can be varied but the Planner will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the planning system and relevant legislation as well possessing strong communication skills, necessary for liaising with Local Authorities, colleagues and clients. A strong academic background is required meaning you will hold both relevant undergraduate and postgraduate qualification related to Town Planning.
Typical responsibilities will include the preparation, submission and monitoring of planning applications, assisting with planning appeals, drafting supporting documentation, liaising with clients and advising them regarding planning matters and communicating regularly with Planning Officers. As a Planner your workload will be varied and challenging with your key role being to assist this established team.
