A large multidisciplinary consultancy with offices throughout the UK have a requirement for a Project Manager, to be seconded into a key client full-time, based in Bedford and managing an estate which spans across the Bedfordshire region. The consultancy has many partnerships in place, with mainly public-sector clients (Healthcare, Defense, Education & Local Authority) and provide a comprehensive service to their clients

About the Role?

You will be tasked at delivering both small and large refurbishments, alternations and new-build developments, acting as the client’s representative throughout the process.  The position allows you to work on a broad range of schemes, engaging with the end client and manage key relationships. You will have good Project Management experience, managing building maintenance, refurbishments and alterations of existing buildings, utilising both the JCT & NEC3 forms of contract. You will also need excellent communication skills, being able to report back to the client technical information about the progress/expenditure of schemes, with easy-to-understand terminology.

Ideally you will be MRICS, however strong candidates, with a good knowledge of the Education sectors will be considered. My client is looking for strong technical project manages who also can build relationships with clients, and in the future, assisting the Director in winning new business.
