Job Title:  Senior EIA Planner (Town Planning)  

Location: Manchester/ Liverpool

Salary: £35-£50k basic salary (negotiable dependant on experience) + excellent benefits

Are you an experienced Senior EIA Planner who enjoys working on varied and complex projects? Do you want to work for one of the UK’s leading independent consultancies in the development sector? I am looking for an experienced Senior EIA Planner to join an award-winner for design and innovation – a UK consultancy that combines local knowledge with nationwide presence. Due to their continuous growth and expansion across disciplines in the property field my client are looking for a Senior EIA Planner to join their busy, well established team out of either their Liverpool or Manchester office to lead on environmental projects in the North of the UK.

 

The Company

A nationwide property consultancy in the development sector, covering the full 360 process from planning through to design and delivery. With offices spanning the UK and employing over 200 staff and growing, they are able to combine local knowledge whilst having nationwide presence and offer independent consultancy spanning across public and private sectors. Some of these include; Agriculture, Commercial, Residential, Retail and much more guaranteeing that “no two days are the same”. From major supermarket developments through to world heritage sites this is an exciting opportunity for a EIA Planner to be exposed to a variety of challenging and complex projects. As they continue to grow they are looking for ambitious and like minded individuals to help develop the business further, in turn offering rapid career progression for a motivated EIA Planner. The company are keen to continue expand organically and geographically, add on additional disciplines within the team through building long lasting business relationships and the development of their talented workforce! Some of the recent environmental projects include:

  • Working in conjunction with their in-house design team securing several applications for major leisure and tourism developments for a prominent site within a well-known beach town. The project included the development of holiday loges, apartments, leisure facilities, a multiplex cinema and various other large scale tourist attractions.
  • A missed use high rise city centre development comprising of residential units, commercial office space, hotel facilities and various retail sites. The site included large tree planting scheme, realm improvements and roofscape greenspaces which encourage ecological diversity. 
  • A wind turbine farm (over 20 turbines, ranging in size up to 176m to blade tip) which as subject to a section 36 application and civil aviation requirements.

The Role 

The successful EIA Planner will have the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of project types alongside the planning team, including large strategic residential and employment developments, large infrastructure projects, and renewable energy projects, previous environmental planning experience is essential, knowledge in the development sector and planning process would also be considered highly advantageous.

You must be able to demonstrate excellent project management, verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to build effective client and team relationships.
