Surveyor / Senior Surveyor - Valuation

The Role

My client is a multi-disciplinary international surveying consultancy and has a strong, well established Valuation Advisory team across the North West comprising of both Manchester and Liverpool offices. This opportunity provides for either a Surveyor or Senior Valuation Surveyor to undertake all aspects of residential valuation work for corporate clients, major banking clients as well as institutional investors.

Success in the role derives from ensuring an enthusiastic and flexible approach to client assignments with the ability to work on your own or as part of the team. 

Key Responsibilities

  • To support Directors and other team members in producing valuation advice and written reports
  • Undertake due diligence and market research for the preparation of valuations of a broad range of asset types across the residential sector including development sites, investment portfolios and strategic land
  • Preparation of cashflows
  • Preparation of development appraisals
  • Analyse trends within the market ensuring databases and systems are kept up to date
  • To support the wider team in its business development objectives
  • Collaboration with other service lines to maintain market knowledge and cross sell opportunities.

Person Specification

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to quickly form professional relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels of seniority
  • Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate tasks efficiently ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Accurate and exceptional attention to detail
  • Pro-active and enjoys working autonomously and as part of a wider team
  • Confident, sociable and outgoing
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills preferable
  • Previous experience in residential valuation not essential

Skills Required

  • The candidate should be MRICS and preferably be a RICS Registered Valuer
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Accurate and exceptional attention to detail
  • Be able to build, develop and maintain existing business and client relationships
  • Able to plan and manage workload efficiently
  • Clean driving licence.
