Our client has had a superb start to 2018 and have ambitious growth plans for their Urban Design team and wider consultancy as they offer a variety of services including Design, Planning and Heritage.
The Urban Designers will be joining established teams across the UK and will be heavily involved in:
- Monitoring and preparation of conceptual urban design and planning work,
- Master planning,
- Design and access statements,
- Developing strategies for residential and mixed used schemes,
- Feasibility studies.
Additional responsibilities are dependent on your experience but shall include managing projects, liaising and meeting with local authorities and project teams and engaging regularly with clients. Typical clients include developers, land owners and private clients and will provide the Urban Designer with a varied and challenging workload.
The ideal Urban Designer will have demonstrable experience within the sector and will be able to show a history of working on residential design. Previous experience within an in-house team or a residential developer will be highly beneficial as your workload will focus on the residential sector. Graphic package experience is also of great importance and the packages used by our client are Vectorworks/AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop/InDesign; however, training can be provided on these if necessary.
