We are looking for an MRICS Qualified Valuation Surveyor, considering all levels from Surveyor up to Associate Director level.
This role will include a very wide range of valuation covering the whole North West region. Assets will be predominantly commercial including office, retail, industrial, logistics and distribution. There will also be the opportunity to value substantial high profile mixed use Manchester City Centre schemes; and occasionally “alternative use” assets including hotels, student housing, schools, car parks and care homes. The team also works closely with our residential valuation team sharing best practice and marketing jointly to banking clients.
The team is one of the largest in the UK regions and prides itself on being friendly, collegiate in approach and uncompromising in meeting client deadlines and delivering a professional valuation service. We are advisers on a large number of core Manchester City Centre schemes and provide valuations on individual assets or portfolios from Isle of Man in the west to Huddersfield in the east, and from Carlisle in the north to Stoke on Trent in the south.
The Role and Responsibilities
Working specifically within the commercial Valuation Advisory Group, you will be part of a team that values a broad range of asset types. You will provide valuations for a variety of purposes including loan security, accounts, financial reporting and development scenarios. You will be working with a fantastic group of clients including major banks, leading property companies, main stream funds and institutions together with international corporates. You will provide a first-class service and specialist advice to clients based on thorough sector knowledge through wider collaboration with market leading capital markets, agency, research and management teams.
You must be a team player with a practical understanding of commercial property and asset management. The position will require strong client relationship skills and a keen eye for detail, along with good people management skills, particularly for motivating and developing others. You must have a good business acumen and the ability to work under pressure, manage your time efficiently and assist the rest of the team in meeting deadlines. A good working knowledge of Microsoft packages is also required, along with strong verbal and numerical skills and you must be comfortable with report writing.
