An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Director to join a leading consultancy recognised for delivering exceptional results across complex, high-value manufacturing and industrial projects.

This firm partners with major blue-chip clients and government organisations to deliver advanced manufacturing, logistics, and industrial facilities — projects that shape the future of production, technology, and sustainability in the UK. With growing demand across the sector, they are looking to appoint a strategic and commercially astute leader to strengthen their North West presence and drive project excellence across a diverse portfolio.

The Opportunity

As a Director specialising in Manufacturing Projects, you’ll lead major programmes and oversee project teams delivering world-class facilities for clients across the advanced manufacturing, automotive, logistics, and life sciences sectors. You’ll take responsibility for business growth, client relationships, and the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion ensuring quality, innovation, and commercial success at every stage.

This is a strategic leadership position that combines delivery oversight with business development and people management. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to shape solutions that respond to the challenges of modern manufacturing from automation and digital transformation to sustainability and energy resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of large-scale manufacturing and industrial projects across the UK
  • Provide strategic direction, governance, and leadership across multiple project teams
  • Develop and maintain trusted client relationships at a senior level, securing repeat business and new opportunities
  • Oversee programme performance in terms of cost, schedule, quality, and risk
  • Support business growth through strategic planning, bid leadership, and client engagement
  • Drive innovation and promote best practice in project and programme management
  • Mentor and develop senior project managers and associate-level colleagues
  • Represent the business at industry events and within client forums, enhancing its market reputation

About You You will be an established leader within the manufacturing or industrial built environment, capable of inspiring confidence and delivering results on complex, high-profile programmes.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience delivering major manufacturing, logistics, or industrial projects in the UK
  • Strong technical and commercial understanding of construction and programme delivery
  • Track record of leading multi-disciplinary project teams within a consultancy or client-side setting
  • Excellent client relationship management skills with the ability to operate at board level
  • Experience with NEC contracts and programme governance
  • Degree qualified in a technical, engineering, or project management discipline
  • Chartered status (RICS, ICE, APM, CIOB, or equivalent) Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen and a collaborative leadership style
  • Ability to travel nationally as required
