Associate Director / Director – Strategic Property Consultancy (Affordable Housing)
The Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic thinker at Associate Director or Director level to join a leading property consultancy (client details confidential) in a key role focused on the affordable housing sector. Based in London with flexible hybrid working, this role offers the chance to shape strategy, advise clients at the highest level, and grow your own team within a highly respected consultancy.
About the Role
You will join a thriving property consultancy team that delivers high-impact strategic advice to housing associations, local authorities, and other key players in the affordable housing sector. Your focus will be on asset management, compliance, and consultancy—particularly involving large-scale stock condition surveys and strategic asset management planning.
This role offers a clear career pathway, with autonomy to build a team and further develop the service offering, while working alongside sector experts.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll already be operating at Associate Director/Director level or be a strong Senior Consultant ready for that next step. Ideally, you will bring:
- A relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS, CIHCM, CIOB)
- Significant experience in affordable housing asset management—either within a consultancy or a registered provider
- Strong technical knowledge in residential construction, stock condition surveys, asset databases, and mobile data capture systems
- Deep understanding of the key strategic issues impacting housing (e.g., ESG, net-zero, building safety, compliance)
- Demonstrable leadership, project delivery, and client-facing experience
- A confident communicator with excellent report writing and analytical skills
- Commercial awareness and a passion for innovation and quality service delivery
