Are you an experienced Residential Valuation professional ready to take the next step in your career? We are working with a leading international property consultancy seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Director of Residential Valuations to lead and grow its established Birmingham team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced valuation professional who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to develop client relationships, win new business and inspire a successful team.

The Opportunity

As Director, you will take responsibility for the leadership, performance and continued growth of the Residential Valuations business in Birmingham.

This is a varied role combining strategic leadership, business development, technical expertise and people management. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Leading, developing and growing an established team of Residential Valuation professionals.
• Identifying new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with existing clients.
• Developing and implementing a clear strategy for growth and improved market presence.
• Providing expert advice on complex and high-value residential valuation instructions.
• Maintaining the highest standards of technical quality, compliance and risk management.
• Taking responsibility for team performance, revenue, profitability and business planning.
• Mentoring and developing colleagues, supporting career progression and succession planning.
• Working collaboratively with other property disciplines to identify cross-selling opportunities and strengthen client relationships.

About You

We are particularly interested in speaking with established Residential Valuation Directors, Associate Directors or senior professionals who are ready to take on a broader leadership role.

You will ideally bring:

• MRICS qualification and RICS Registered Valuer status.
• Significant experience in residential property valuations.
• Strong technical knowledge of valuation methodologies, market trends and regulatory requirements.
• A proven track record of developing client relationships and generating new business.
• Experience leading, mentoring or developing valuation professionals.
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of financial performance and business growth.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• An established professional network across Birmingham and the wider Midlands would be advantageous.
