Overall Purpose of Job

A highly successful multi-disciplinary surveying consultancy is looking to appoint an MRICS Qualified Property Management Surveyor (Associate or Director level) to its’ West Midlands office due to new instructions and continued growth.

The role will focus on commercial properties and the successful candidate shall join a busy, well experienced, friendly team and will require high levels of self-motivation and drive. You must demonstrate a commitment to building on property management experience gained to date to become a long-term property specialist within the team with no limit to career progression.

The Role & Key Responsibilities

  • Management of a landlord client property portfolio across the retail, office and industrial property sectors.
  • Establishment and management of property service charges including annual reconciliations and reporting.
  • Progression of tenant applications/licenses from receipt to issue
  • Authorising rent and service charge demands
  • Responsible for collection lease income rent /service charge
  • Attending client meetings
  • Client reporting
  • Site inspections
  • Landlord/Tenant liaison
  • Tendering contracts
  • Instructing and monitoring contractors
  • Provides cross selling opportunities to clients to maximise a full rounded service to client and increase firms’ fees where possible
  • Identifying asset management opportunities to maximise income / value
  • Managing and building wide ranging Landlord/Tenant relationship
  • Establish and integrate working processes to mitigate risk and increase efficiencies across the department
  • Establish and integrate reporting processes across business
  • Establish and integrate working practices with internal and external customers
  • Establishment / management of property service charges and capital expenditure
  • Oversee and support property manage accounts and the PM team generally
  • Business development / client generation

Technical Experience

  • MRICS Qualified (Min. 3 years PQE)
  • Experience in most aspects of Commercial Property Management

  • Experience of working across all sectors will be advantageous, but not essential
