About the Role

A highly regarded, national property consultancy is seeking to appoint an experienced Associate Director – Building Surveyor to join its established Building Consultancy team in Leeds. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a qualified and commercially astute individual to contribute to the continued growth and success of a market-leading practice.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a broad range of building surveying services across the commercial property sector, with particular emphasis on development-led schemes. The position offers significant scope for career progression, client exposure, and involvement in complex, high-value projects.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake a wide variety of professional building surveying instructions, including technical due diligence, dilapidations, defect diagnosis, and building pathology
  • Deliver project management and contract administration services on refurbishment and development projects
  • Provide strategic advice to clients, including occupiers, investors, and developers
  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Support the leadership team with business development initiatives and team mentoring

Key Requirements

  • MRICS qualified, with substantial post-qualification experience in commercial building surveying
  • Demonstrable expertise in delivering high-quality advice across the full spectrum of surveying services
  • A proven track record of working on commercial development and refurbishment projects
  • Excellent client management skills and a strong commercial acumen
  • Self-motivated, well-organised, and capable of managing multiple instructions concurrently
