About the Role

Kingsley is partnering with a well-established, multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy to appoint a Director of Quantity Surveying for its Liverpool office.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an ambitious and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor who wants to play a key role in the continued growth of an already successful regional office. You will take the lead in developing the cost management offering locally, building on an excellent market reputation and a strong platform for future growth.

This role would suit an experienced Associate Director, Director or senior-level Quantity Surveyor ready to step into a broader leadership position with real influence over team growth, client development and project delivery.

The opportunity

You will be joining a respected consultancy with an established presence across the built environment, known for delivering high-quality advice across multiple sectors. With a strong pipeline of work and a clear growth strategy, they are now looking for a senior hire who can help shape and lead their quantity surveying presence in Liverpool and the wider region.

This is more than a project delivery role. It is an opportunity to become a visible leader within the business, strengthen existing client relationships, win new work, mentor a team and help drive the next stage of growth.

The role

As Director of Quantity Surveying, you will:

  • Lead and grow the quantity surveying / cost management service line in Liverpool
  • Build and develop new business opportunities across the region
  • Maintain and expand key client relationships
  • Deliver high-quality quantity surveying consultancy services from inception through to completion
  • Provide strategic commercial advice across a range of high-value projects
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors
  • Support junior team members working towards professional chartership
  • Work closely with other disciplines across the wider business to maximise opportunities and client service
  • Play an active role in the office’s wider leadership and growth plans

About you

To be considered, you will ideally have:

  • MRICS qualification or equivalent professional status
  • Significant quantity surveying / cost management consultancy experience
  • Experience operating at Associate Director or Director level, or ready to step into such a role
  • A strong track record in business development and winning work
  • Experience developing long-term client relationships
  • Team leadership experience, including mentoring and managing surveyors
  • Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to lead major commissions
  • Good knowledge of the North West market, with an established network seen as a distinct advantage
  • Sector experience across areas such as commercial, residential, education, healthcare, industrial or manufacturing

Why consider it?

  • Senior leadership role within a respected consultancy
  • Genuine opportunity to shape and grow a service offering
  • Strong existing platform, brand and multidisciplinary support
  • Varied and high-quality project work
  • Clear influence over team development and regional growth
  • £90,000–£100,000 salary plus benefits
