Meet Our Recruiter
About the Role
An established and growing built environment consultancy is seeking a talented Bid Writer to join its Northern team based in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for a curious, confident self-starter looking to play a key role in a high-performing work-winning function.
This consultancy has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions across the built environment, supporting clients in creating places where people can live, work, and thrive. With a collaborative culture and a clear focus on professional development, they provide an environment where individuals can genuinely progress and make an impact.
In this role, you will be responsible for producing compelling, high-quality bid submissions that clearly articulate the organisation’s strengths and align with client requirements.
You will work closely with technical specialists and senior stakeholders to gather insight, shape win themes, and develop structured, persuasive responses. The role will also involve research, content development, proofreading, and ensuring all submissions are compliant, accurate, and delivered to deadline.
You will contribute to the continuous improvement of bid materials by developing case studies, capturing project experience, and analysing feedback to strengthen future submissions. There will also be opportunities to support presentations and collaborate with design teams to enhance the visual quality of bid documents.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a bid writing or proposals role, with a strong ability to translate complex technical information into clear, engaging content.
You will bring excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, alongside strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with a range of internal stakeholders.
Experience within the construction, engineering, or wider built environment sector would be advantageous, though not essential. Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Word is expected, while experience with Adobe InDesign and APMP certification would be beneficial.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking consultancy with a strong pipeline of work and a genuine commitment to developing its people.
If you’re looking to take the next step in your bid writing career within a dynamic and supportive environment, this role offers both challenge and progression.
