About the Role

Are you an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor ready to take the lead on exciting projects in the North West?

My client is looking for a talented professional to join their team and drive the financial success of their schemes.

In this role, you will lead the QS team, acting as the bridge between the Commercial Manager and the project QS team. You'll oversee procurement, perform financial due diligence on the supply chain, and manage sub-contractor accounts while building strong relationships with key suppliers. Developing and implementing commercial strategies, reviewing CVR information, and managing recovery routes will be part of your daily tasks.

You'll also draft and respond to project notices, review subcontract amendments, and conduct delay analysis. Ensuring compliance with variation/compensation event mechanisms and managing cash flow forecasting will be crucial. Additionally, you'll represent my client in progress and commercial meetings.

We’re looking for someone with extensive experience with NEC forms of contract, strong technical knowledge, cost control, and negotiation skills. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and people management abilities are essential. A professional qualification (e.g., MRICS/MCICES) is desirable, along with extensive experience in a similar role with a contractor.

Join my client and be part of a dynamic team working on impactful projects. Apply now and help shape the future of construction on Merseyside.

Interested in learning more or know someone who’d be a great fit? We’d love to hear from you!
