Our clients’ Residential Valuation team in Leeds is actively recruiting a Director, Associate and/or Senior Surveyor. Busy, stable, and very successful in their market, the team requires skilled valuers who can contribute and/or generate, lead (D.O.E.) and take responsibility for a wide variety of instructions, ranging from prime homes to development sites; and from investment portfolios to strategic land.

Clients range from banks and investors, to housing associations, local authorities and developers, all of the calibre you would expect for a firm of our client’s size and reputation. Your skills as a valuer will be coupled with client relationship management and active business development.

Strong residential valuation experience is a prerequisite for the role.

  • MRICS qualification & RICS Registered Valuer.
  • Solid experience in valuing residential property assets using the comparison, residual, investment capitalisation and DCF approaches.
  • Fluent user of MS Excel, including data analysis and experience of or a desire to build upon a solid understanding of financial modelling.
  • Comfortable creating and working with Excel cashflows and Argus Developer.
  • Excellent written English, with the ability to produce high quality, accurate reports in MS Word with good attention to detail.
  • Experience of successfully building and sustaining client relationships and instructions, including being able to explain and justify the approach and assumptions adopted to directors and clients.
  • Experience in coaching junior colleagues and supervising their work.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple, competing priorities.
  • Good understanding of the valuation instruction process, contract management, and forecasting.
  • Strong work ethic, with a demonstrable commitment to client service.
  • Driving licence.

Our client offers real scope for career development for a dedicated, professional and enthusiastic individual with a strong work ethic who wants to join one of the true market leaders.
