About the Role
THE OPPORTUNITY
A well established and highly regarded property consultancy is seeking a Surveying Executive to join its Property Management team based in Manchester. This is a varied, hands-on role offering exposure across commercial property management, facilities management, compliance, and financial administration.
Reporting to the Director of Property Management, you will provide professional and administrative support across the full property management function. You’ll work closely with Property Management, Facilities Management, and Finance teams to ensure client portfolios are managed efficiently, compliantly, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Property & Portfolio Support
- Supporting the day-to-day management of commercial property portfolios
- Coordinating reactive and planned maintenance works
- Liaising with tenants, clients, and contractors to resolve issues efficiently
- Assisting with management reports including arrears, budgets, KPIs, and compliance
- Supporting annual budget preparation and management summaries
- Attending client meetings, taking minutes, and managing follow-up actions
Insurance & Compliance
- Managing insurance renewals across the portfolio and liaising with brokers
- Maintaining RCA diaries and ensuring key actions and renewals are completed
- Managing EPC schedules and ensuring ongoing legislative compliance
- Tracking health & safety, fire risk assessments, asbestos reports, and inspections
- Supporting emergency response and risk management procedures
Utilities & Operational Administration
- Managing utility renewals and change of tenancy processes
- Overseeing utility recharges and ensuring accurate cost recovery
- Administering utility SOPs across the managed portfolio
- Working with finance teams on billing, meter readings, and supplier data
Data, Reporting & Finance
- Maintaining accurate property management system data
- Producing compliance, performance, and operational reports
- Reviewing supplier invoices and supporting purchase order processes
- Assisting with financial summaries, accruals, and client reporting
- Maintaining organised digital records in line with GDPR requirements
About You
Skills & Experience
- Experience in property or facilities management (commercial preferred)
- Understanding of insurance administration, compliance, and utilities
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident IT user (Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
- Experience with property management or CAFM systems desirable
- Knowledge of H&S, fire safety, and EPC compliance
- Financial awareness including invoice review and budget tracking
