Are you a Senior level Building Surveyor who is looking to strike that all important work life balance? Working in beautiful Devon, you will run your own projects and work closely with a broad range of clients. You will be part of a close knit team, with some responsibility for co-ordinating the delivery of projects & survey work within both the public and private sectors.
We are looking to appoint a Building Surveyor with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, someone who is ideally Chartered, but not essential.
You will work with private clients, high net worth individuals, as well as some local authority schemes, undertaking refurbishment work and extensions.

Responsibilities:

As a Building Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive surveying services to our  commercial clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting property inspections, surveys, and assessments.
  • Preparing detailed reports on building conditions, defects, and recommended actions.
  • Providing expert advice on property-related matters to clients.
  • Assisting with project management and coordination of construction and maintenance projects.
  • Conducting feasibility studies and cost analyses for property development and renovation projects.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of surveys and assessments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Building Surveyor, ideally within a property consultancy environment.
  • You will ideally be MRICS qualified, or close to qualifying
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, codes, and construction practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using surveying software and other relevant tools.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate and high-quality reports.
