The Client & The Role
Our client, an international property consultancy, is looking to appoint a key individual who will take immediate responsibility for the management of their public sector and retail clients’ occupied commercial properties.
Working closely with the Estates Leader – you shall manage and assist with a high profile clients’ commercial portfolio.
Role Profile:
- To provide occupier clients with full property management services that meet their expectations within the agreed fee basis
- Within the Occupier Management Team based in Birmingham, work across occupier clients to deliver estate management services, collaborating with other skill lines across the company as required
Core Responsibilities:
- To ensure cost effective operational running of allocated sites
- Liaison with clients and 3rd parties i.e. landlords and their agents to ensure uninterrupted use of the client’s premises, effectively acting as the intermediary between landlord and tenant
- Identify and drive through cost savings for corporate occupiers
- For sublet properties, monitor income collection and tenant liaison
- Manage exit strategies for freehold and leasehold properties being vacated
- Ensure adherence to lease terms and compliance with statutory requirements (to include inspections) and advising clients of same
- Manage and liaise with other company teams and other professionals to provide a full service to the client
- Direct and frequent client contact and reporting
Key Performance Indicators:
- Contribution to achievement of client and departmental targets
- Client satisfaction
- Delivery of regular and accurate client reports
- Services undertaken within client budget
Knowledge & Experience:
- Up to date knowledge of legislation regarding property management
- Demonstrable technical competence in property management
- Basic IT skills (word-processing and spreadsheets)
- Property management / general practice background for or within either a corporate, public sector or private practice
- Working knowledge of industry specific packages preferred (e.g. TRAMPS/PM&A)
Qualifications
- Degree level estate management qualification or equivalent desired
- Membership of RICS desired

Remuneration includes:
- Salary £32,000 to £45,000+ per annum (D.O.E.)
