A renowned Consultancy is currently seeking a talented Building Surveyor to join a prestigious firm based in Oxford. This role offers a diverse range of projects spanning various sectors, including retail, logistics, office, healthcare, education, government, and residential, providing ample opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance on property design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment within the firm's extensive portfolio. They will conduct meticulous site surveys and inspections, diagnose defects, and oversee projects from inception to completion. Additionally, they will be tasked with developing comprehensive tender documentation, managing tender processes, and administering contracts for new build, refurbishment, and maintenance projects. Collaboration with clients, contractors, and stakeholders will be crucial to ensuring projects are completed to exacting standards, within stipulated timelines and budgets. The candidate will also contribute actively to team initiatives, including business development efforts and expansion into new sectors.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess impeccable attention to detail coupled with an unwavering commitment to excellence. They should demonstrate profound technical acumen and familiarity with building surveying principles and methodologies. Proficiency in conducting site surveys, diagnosing defects, and adept project management is essential. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required for cultivating enduring client and colleague relationships. Proactive problem-solving capabilities and the ability to thrive both autonomously and collaboratively are highly valued. Possession of or willingness to acquire Security Check (SC) security clearance, with existing clearance considered advantageous, is preferred. Flexibility to undertake occasional travel to Milton Keynes or London is required.
