Job Description:

As Senior Building Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the successful implementation and delivery of professional and contract building surveying services within a thriving Building Surveying Team. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of building surveying instructions to cater to a diverse clientele, which includes small private investment companies/individuals, institutions, and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage client and project teams to provide building surveying services that are both profitable and timely. Independently handle projects from conception to completion, adhering to company policies and project objectives. Engage in various project types, including building surveys, schedules of condition, contract administration, specification and schedule of work preparation, defect analysis, dilapidations negotiations, party wall matters, development monitoring, and CAD work for planning and building regulations applications. Ensure compliance with company policies and Quality Management Procedures. Contribute positively to the department's business plan and objectives. Maintain and foster business relationships with clients. Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Deliver clear and concise written communications. Participate in business development activities. Effectively plan and manage your workload. Demonstrate computer literacy, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and ideally MS Project. Possess a clean driving license.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Ideally MRICS qualified or close to achieving Chartered status, with a background in a consultancy environment.

Capacity to develop and nurture business relationships. Effective organisation and prioritisation skills. Proficiency in providing clear written communication. Proficiency in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and ideally MS Project. Strong attention to detail. Proactive and capable of working autonomously as well as part of a team. Understanding and appreciation for the importance of discretion.
