The Company

Our client is a well-established and highly respected Property Consultancy, covering all the key property sector disciplines, offering expert property advice for occupiers and owners of Retail, Leisure and Commercial Property, throughout the UK. 

 

The Role

An EPC Assessor (Commercial Buildings) is required to provide Energy Performance Certificates across the clients’ portfolio and review the wider performance of the buildings/portfolio in terms of productivity and health & well-being.

You will be working within the Asset Management team to ensure that the companies’ clients are compliant in the area of energy and environmental performance whilst identifying opportunities to improve the performance of their buildings and businesses, from a wider perspective.

 

Key Requirements       

  • Experience undertaking energy calculations for commercial properties, in order to generate EPCs (Level 4 NDEA and/or DEA certification)

  • Ensure EPC’s are provided in an accurate and timely manner

  • Analysing and reporting sustainability data on monthly, quarterly and annual routines to underpin our client’s sustainability programmes and optimise their portfolios

  • Possess some experience of managing accounts for energy and sustainability in buildings

  • Good working knowledge of energy modelling, including asset and operational ratings/assessments

  • Experience in development and maintenance of close client and partner relationships, being responsible for client satisfaction, timely delivery, project financial management and high-quality technical outputs

  • Good all-round communication skills

  • Demonstrate excellent customer relationships.

  • Works proactively in a highly organised manner, with the ability to manage time, prioritise heavy workloads and remain calm under pressure.

  • Self-motivated and the ability to carry out responsibilities with supervision outside delegated authority levels.

  • Ability to work in a team as well as using own initiative

  • Working knowledge of Word & Excel    

  • Full Driving Licence

 

Further Responsibilities

 

There may also be other responsibilities within this role, depending upon your experience and ability, that includes the following:

  • Deal with repairs and tenant issues across the management portfolio

  • Analyse service providers and ensure Value for Money and re-tender contracts on a regular basis

  • Liaise with Insurers to ensure compliance with Risk Improvements and vacant property conditions

  • Carry out inspection of properties within the portfolio on a regular basis to highlight issues

  • Ensure full compliance with all appropriate Health & Safety legislation across all properties

  • Deal with utilities advisors to oversee procurement and bill approvals process.
