Are you an experienced Legal Secretary looking to expand your knowledge in the Commercial Property sector? Due to continued expansion, a Legal 500 specialist Commercial Law based in Chester is looking for an experienced Commercial Property Legal Secretary to join their ever-growing team. The office is very close to excellent transport links.

The Commercial Property team are described as ‘exceptional’ in the Legal 500 and have an exceptional portfolio of clients to offer. The department acts for a range of clients which include commercial banks, developers and corporations, pension funds, insolvency practitioners as well as individual and corporate investors.

Salary is in the region of £20,000 but is flexible depending on experience. The firm also provide an excellent benefits package which incudes 21 days’ holiday plus the ability to buy an additional 5 holidays as required, health cash plan, child care vouchers, and cycle to work scheme.

About the role

You will be an experienced Legal Secretary who is familiar dealing with Commercial Property matters to include, but not limited to, sale and purchase, landlord and tenant, estate management, disposal, and acquisition, development, construction and plot sales.

You will have fast and accurate typing skills, excellent spelling and grammar and good organisational skills as well as fantastic attention to detail.

It is essential that you can work well individually and under pressure but also be a team player and help other team members as required.

Key duties will include opening files, carrying out searches and dealing with enquires relating to these searches, using H M Land Registry Portal, collating title bundles and scanning deeds, retrieving and storing deeds, dealing with post completion registration and stamp duty land tax formalities, preparing correspondence and documents through audio typing and carrying out copy typing of documents.
