Are you an ambitious graduate with an RTPI accredited degree? Do you want to be a part of a dynamic team, that offer flexible working with a residential led workload? Are you keen to carve a career in the private sector within a well-established design focussed planning consultancy? Working in partnership with a successful strategic land promoter, the types of projects you can expect to be working on include:


  • Residential focussed projects nationwide, sites as large as 40 acres
  • Solar & wind turbine projects
  • Individual homeowner extensions and planning applications


I am representing a well-established SME planning consultancy that undertakes portfolio of residential projects varying in size across the UK. Working in conjunction with a strategic land organisation which has allowed them to secure the business of a number of residential led projects nationwide they are looking to expand the team. As well as servicing the requirements of the strategic land business you will be involved in engaging with members of the public in providing them with pre-application advice and guiding clients through the planning process. Working in a design focussed planning consultancy services that they specialise in include:


  • The full planning process; pre-application, advice and consultation, planning statements, planning appeals and professional representation
  • Urban planning and architectural services
  • Masterplanning


As a Graduate Planner you will be involved in developing client relationships and enhancing the reputation of the brand. You will be responsible for managing your own workload with guidance on a range of projects, with an emphasis on the residential sector including site reviews, planning applications and appeals. You will be expected to take on responsibility for your own caseload and must therefore be confident to work independently.

 You will be based out of their head office in York, liaising regularly with the wider business to manage projects nationwide.
