In this role you will be based on secondment for one of the firm’s major clients in Kendal for at least 2 days. For the other remining days you will be based in the firms Manchester office.

They are paying a competitive salary of c.£16,000, increasing to £18,000 upon successful completion of probation. The role

It is desirable if you have prior regulatory/health experience dealing with inquests, although this is not essential. You will have a genuine passion for developing your career in the health sector. This is a great opportunity if you are looking for a stepping stone in to a Health role but do not have previous experience within this area.

In this role you will assist the team with all aspects of the management of clinical and non-clinical claims, working closely with instructed solicitors/barristers, liaison with HM Coroners and their Officers in the management of inquests. This will include drafting instructions to Counsel, drafting witness statements, research, drafting various advices, organising medical records, preparing chronologies of medical records, preparing bundles of documents for use at Inquests, note taking at Inquests, meetings and conferences with Counsel.
