A superb opportunity has come available for a MRICS Qualified Development Surveyor to join our client’s Manchester team in their integrated Planning and Development department, and they are considering candidates who are newly qualified right up to senior surveyor level.
This role will give the opportunity to work closely with senior colleagues in the highest level of mixed use development consultancy in respect of development and viability advice to public and private clients on strategic and technical matters.
The successful candidate will support on development and viability instructions, undertaking property market reviews, preparing development appraisals and report writing. You will be required to support on bids for new work and contribute towards departmental financial performance targets.
You will be a team player who is highly organised and can demonstrate ambition and commitment to self-development. You will have proven experience of working within a Development role, being able to demonstrate an awareness of market trends and the development market conditions. You will present a professional image when dealing with clients and demonstrate a clear understanding of current and future client’s requirements. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the role of viability in development and planning, understanding of affordable housing tenure and development economics.
Residential and commercial valuation knowledge and experience would also be preferable but is not essential).
Salary & Benefits
A salary of up to £40,000 is available for the successful candidate, coupled with a generous car allowance (up to £5,640) and company benefits such as pension and healthcare.
Our client may consider a graduate for this position; however, they must have started working towards their RICS Planning and Development APC.
