A leading multi-disciplinary surveying consultancy is looking for an MRICS qualified Property Management Surveyor to join their well-established Property Management Department in Leeds.
Acting for investors and occupiers in the office, industrial and retail markets in managing a cross-section of commercial property types, they combine experience and knowledge with innovation and creativity, handling national and international portfolios for a wide variety of clients.
As a consequence of continued growth, we are looking for a key individual to join our clients’ established property team.
This role covers a high-quality portfolio, which is predominantly retail and responsibilities will include daily property management duties for a portfolio of clients.
You will take a very “hands on” proactive role, managing the transition of clients/properties over to central property management and setting up of new instructions and portfolios. You will carry out regular property inspections, deal with tenant and client queries, prepare accurate client reports, prepare for client meetings and carry out any actions arising from these. You will summarise leases ensuring data is maintained on the internal property management system, and regularly update and audit the accuracy of the data.
You will take a proactive approach in terms of asset management opportunities and the exploiting of potential initiatives, and plan for critical lease event dates such as reviews and lease expiries. Other duties will include regular review of service charge cash flow and budgets, calculation and approval of service charge reconciliations and ensuring tenant arrears are proactively managed in conjunction with the credit control team.
The successful candidate will be MRICS qualified and experience within the property management sector is essential, ideally within Shopping Centre Management. Our client will consider all levels of seniority from 12 months PQE up to Director level. To be considered for this position, you must have a high attention to detail, be well organised and have a good initiative level. Our client is also looking for a team player who is adaptable and above all enthusiastic. You must have a desire to progress and be able to cross sell services within the organisation and generate new business. A full clean driving license is essential.
