About the Role

This is the sort of Quantity Surveying practice that quietly gets on with doing very good work, without making a huge song and dance about it. Small enough for you to make a real impact, established enough to give you stability, and growing fast enough to make this a genuinely exciting time to join.

They’ve built a strong reputation through repeat business, trusted relationships and delivering sound commercial advice. Now, with an exciting airport expansion programme and a healthy pipeline of work, they are looking to bring in another Quantity Surveyor who can help drive things forward.

This is not a role where you will be lost in a crowd. You will work closely with an experienced QS, get involved across the full project lifecycle, and play a key part in delivering quality commercial support on some very interesting schemes.

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with experience gained either in consultancy or on the contractor side. If you know your way around measurement, Bills of Quantities, procurement and commercial reporting, and you have the confidence to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in, then we need to talk.

The project

You will have the chance to work on an exciting airport expansion plan, giving you exposure to a major project with real complexity and profile. Alongside that, you will support a variety of schemes and gain broad experience in a growing business where your contribution will be noticed.

Money

A competitive salary and package is on offer, depending on experience. More importantly, this is one of those opportunities where the bigger picture matters. You will be joining a growing practice with ambition, strong leadership and genuine scope to progress.

About you

Qualifications are useful, but they are not the main event here. We are much more interested in someone who can do the job, add value and take ownership.

You might come from a consultancy background. You might have learned your trade on the contractor side. Either way, you will need to bring solid Quantity Surveying experience, good commercial instincts and the ability to work with a degree of independence.

You will be confident producing Bills of Quantities, undertaking measurement, analysing procurement routes and supporting both pre- and post-contract duties. You will also be someone who communicates clearly, thinks practically and keeps things moving.

Most of all, you need gumption.

This is not a training ground for someone needing their hand held every step of the way. It is a great fit for someone bright, proactive and switched on, someone who sees what needs doing and gets on with it.

Any exposure to M&E, infrastructure or utilities would be a bonus, but it is certainly not essential.

Why this role?

Because opportunities like this don’t come along every day.

A growing practice. A flexible and supportive working environment. Direct access to experienced leadership. Interesting project exposure. And the chance to build a proper career in a business where your efforts will genuinely make a difference.

Struggling to talk during office hours? Send me a message and we can arrange a convenient time to speak. Don’t have an up-to-date CV? Don’t panic, just get in touch, we are here to help.
